I have followed the instructions found here:

On the Wp Mail SMTP > Mail page I have set the “from email” to the Gmail address that I used to create the Google API. I have entered the Client ID, Client Secret, and Authorized redirect URI in their respective locations per your instructions. I have saved the page. Then I clicked the “allow plugin to send emails using your google account” button – that does allow me to log in, but then it shows “this app isn’t verified” warning and not the “allow” button you show in your instructions.
I am so close! But, I cannot figure out where I went wrong in the app verification process (and the Learn More link on that google warning page is very confusing)… I have followed your steps outlined in the link above (as have my coworkers) and we cannot get this to “verify”. Please advise on what steps I need to take to “verify the app” in Google so that the “allow” button in your plugin will actually take me where we expect to go.
