We have a setup where our email (MX Records) are on one host and our website is on another host.
When I try to test the SMTP configuration in the WP Mail SMTP plugin, I get the error
“SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.”
We have set the “Email Routing” on the host that our website is on to “Remote Mail Exchanger” but the SMTP email test still generates the “Could not connect to SMTP Host” error.
Is there some special configuration that is necessary if our email is on one host and our website is on another host?
Any suggestions you have would be much appreciated.
