Slow Submissions with Gravity Forms

My form submissions are taking 10+ seconds to go through after clicking submit.

I checked with my hosting company and with Gravity forms and they both say the delay is caused by SMTP Mail. I believe my settings are correct (Other SMTP, TLS, Host: smtp.office365.com, SMTP Port: 587). Is there anything else I can do to improve the performance or better understand what is causing the delay?
