Mailer: Gmail cURL error 60: Peer’s certificate

Since Yesterday we have the follow message in our wordpress administrator:

“ERROR OF EMAIL DELIVERY: el plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.4.2 registered this error the last time you tried to send an email:”

Mailer: Gmail
cURL error 60: Peer’s certificate issuer has been marked as not trusted by the user. (see http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it.
