System sending double emails with Gmail as Mailer

Hello,

I’ve seen this question asked multiple times but have not seen it answered.

I’ve executed the steps to integrate my Gmail account as the mailer in WP Mail SMTP.

The test email sends successfully, however it sends twice. One of the emails sends from my WordPress account email address, and the other email sends from the Gmail account that I connected as the mailer in WP Mail SMTP.

When I place a test order in Woocommerce, the same thing happens. Two order confirmation emails go to the customer, from the two different email addresses.
