I’m using WP Mail SMTP with Gmail.
I’ve set up with no issues in the past. The last 2 days, I have been trying to set up on a new website and run into all these problems.
First, it runs into 403 error. Then it requires publication which I have no idea what it actually does. After “publish”, wpmailsmtp.com appears under the authorised domain.
When I allow the plugin to connect from the WordPress admin panel, instead of continue to my own account, it prompts to continue to wpmailsmtp.com
I have to authorise wpmailsmtp.com to read and access my gmail account.
After authorisation, it prompts a message that Google hasn’t verified this app. The app is requesting access to sensitive info in your Google Account.
I am not sure what’s going on here? In addition to that, I find it too invasive when I have to authorise wpmailsmtp.com to read and access my gmail account but I am not sure how it works on the backend? Is it normal?
