Memberpress | Error: Could not authenticate

Hi,

I have an issue with a subset of automated emails which cause this “Error: Could not authenticate”.

I use memberpress for my WP website.

Test emails (WP SMTP Mail, Memberpress) and reminders (Memberpress) work, but a subset of automated emails doesn’t. These are membership specific “Welcome Emails” to users. They are being sent if a subscriber transaction is completed.

The from email address for these emails is the same as the username.

Does anybody know why WP SMTP Mail cannot authenticate in these cases?

I would be very happy.
