In the last few days I’ve sent through my website around 500 emails, 18 of these emails (around 4%) couldn’t be sent. The server error was always the same: “Mailer: Other SMTP SMTP Error: data not accepted”.
I gave my hosting company (OVH.com) a list of the errors I found on the “Email Log” (recipients, date, hour, subject) and they told me that these attempts were not present on their server and that probably the mail is blocked before being processed by them.
But here is the funny fact: through the WP Mail SMTP plugin I can simply resend the emails that were not sent and many of them were successfully sent in the second or third manual attempt!
In the WP Mail SMTP settings I’ve checked both the “Force From Email” and the “Force From Name” options.
Wordpress and all the plugins are updated to last available stable version.
Thanks in advance for your help!
