Google does not accept Authorized redirect URI

Following the guide here

and using the suggested redirect url provided by the plugin. google does not allow this url. with the error “Invalid Origin: URIs must not contain a path or end with “/”.”

Not only that but attempting to authorize crashes apache on the server. Which just blows my mind is even possible.
