Jason Hendriks on "[Plugin: WP Mail SMTP] test email, result bool(true)"

I tried Hotmail myself, using these parameters:

host: smtp.live.com
port: 587
encryption: tls
with my username and password

and i saw:

bool(false)
..
string(35) "SMTP Error: Could not authenticate."
.. and then all the way at the bottom
ERROR: Password command failed: 535 5.0.0 Authentication Failed

is this what you saw?
