Based on your recommendation to get the PRO version for Office 365, we purchased the PRO version. After downloading and installing the PRO version we find out that the Office 365 integration does not work without having a Azure account. We sent an email to support and they sent us the link to your support page on how to activate the Office 365 email. Went to the link and again MISINFORMATION, AZURE DOES NOT WORK WITH EXISTING EMAIL!! YOU HAVE TO CREATE A NEW AZURE ACCOUNT.

We se srote back to your support and they sent another link to configure through SMTP. AGAIN MISINFORMATION, there is no settings for Office 365 SMTP.

EITHER FIX THIS ISSUE TODAY OR SEND US A FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY.

I keep getting this error although my configuration is all correct.
I realized that my email hosting company which is godaddy and they are the one who’s blocking from sending email from WP mail SMTP plugin, so I called them and ask if that is true but they said “no we don’t block any sending SMTP port” and I have no idea why this is happening.

Can you please help?

Hi there, This has stopped working in the last few days rerouting mail through Gmail.

No change to password or emails and worked fine for years. Just treble checked the reroute email. Any ideas what is going on?

————-

Could not authenticate your SMTP account.

This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.

Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.

Recommended next steps:
Triple check your SMTP settings including host address, email, and password. If you have recently reset your password you will need to update the settings.
Contact your SMTP host to confirm you are using the correct username and password.
Verify with your SMTP host that your account has permissions to send emails using outside connections.

Spam from Gmail?

Here is my problem: When i installed the WP/SMTP plugin on my clients site her email started spamming herself. My client has a personal gmail she uses, and an email from her website (siteground) Once i setup the plugin on her site using the gmail account to receive emails from her site using Calendra forms, her gmail account is sending spam to her other account.

I know it sounds weird but i think it has something to do with the plugin based on the information from the original message in her gmail:

Other SMTP – reply-to is set to ‘WP admin email’ instead of ‘from email’

Hey there,

thanks for a great plugin.
I’m using it to send WooCommerce order emails via “Other SMTP”. Works fine, except somehow the reply-to email is set to a completely different email than the “from” field (which I’m forcing, btw). The reply-to seems to be the WP system admin email.

There’s no option for me to set the reply-to anywhere – can’t it just be the “from email”? Right now it’s a struggle because the WordPress admin is not suppsed to receive client’s emails answering to order confirmations.

Please advise.

Cheers,
Dorian

WC emails not sent – WP emails are when plugin enabled

Hey!

So last days have been weird. Like many in the forum who stated: Nothing has changed (no password etc). Test email works. Registration email works. Admin getting email. All good. Order emails work… everything is being sent. Except…… Password reset! When WooCommerce is activated, the email logger is showing it being sent, however, its stated SMTP not autehnticated.

Even if I force the “from” the “Name” and even the “reply to”, its still not authenticated. If I switch off this plugin, then it seems to work without a problem.

I tried 15 emails with different values, i even tried to change the from email under woocommerce – settings – email to no avail. Still with the plugin activated = not authenticated.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Confirmed, I switched to easy smtp plugin and works fine. This is related to the plugin.Tried it also on a staging site that I created just for the purpose (fresh site), same problem, so this is unfortunately related to plugin. Let me know when there’s a fix. Iv’e been using this for years, don’t like changing even if easy is actually working.

Sendgrid not hitting hotmail inbox

Hi,

I followed your guide here: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-sendgrid-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/

After completing all of the DNS instructions I successfully sent an email to my domain email address and all worked fine.

Then I tried sending instead to a hotmail address through your test email feature and the email does not hit the inbox or the junk, even though WP mail says success.

EDIT: I found this information in my Sendgrid dashboard about the email:

The hotmail.com server blocked this message from being delivered.

550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [xxx.xx.xxx.xx] weren’t sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. [CY1NAM02FT025.eop-nam02.prod.protection.outlook.com]

Have you come across this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks.

WP SMTP Help

Currently using the “simple form” from WP Forms plugin. I was having problems with not receiving form submissions from clients so I installed the WP SMTP plugin. I currently have the following settings on the WP SMTP plugin: using gmail, do not have force from name checkbox selected, do not have force from email checkbox selected, do have the Set the return-path to match the From Email checkbox selected.

The problem is, when clients submit the form after filling it out and when I receive the email it is labeled as from “me” in my gmail. This is causing problems as all emails received are labeled as “me” and not the client, therefore, I have no way to organize gmail inbox. Prior to installing the SMTP plugin, emails received were labeled as clients name and email. So I do know the settings on the WP Forms notifications are correct. This problem only started to occur after installing the WP SMTP plugin. The descriptions for the the “Force From Email” and “Force From Name” say if checked will ignore values set by other plugins. However, I do not have them checked so shouldn’t it be using the settings from WP Forms and use the client’s name and email?

I would really appreciate some help to resolve this problem.

Thank you,

David
