Hello Sir,
While Setting up Wp Mail SMTP.
It shows error mentioned below.
“EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.9.0 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
Mailer: Gmail
GuzzleHttp requires cURL, the allow_url_fopen ini setting, or a custom HTTP handler.
Consider running an email test after fixing it.”

I’m running an eCommerce website-
If an order is placed on the website, I don’t receive notification email regarding the orders in the corresponding email until I check the website backend. However, the test email worked just fine.
What could be the issue and how do I resolve it?

After installing and configuring WP Mail SMTP with a new GSuite hosted email hello ‘at’ artymcgoo.com and setting up the Gmail Client ID & Secret the From Email and > Authorization – ‘Connected as’ email both show as hello@.
I’ve also updated the website admin email Settings > General > Administration Email Address to the same hello@
When sending test emails or automated system emails they are all retaining the old admin email contact ‘at’ artymcgoo.com Any thoughts how we can get the from email to update? Thanks in advance!

Just setup SMTP. When I try to send a Test email I get the following:

Hello,
we were using your sendinblue integration and when somebody requested a friendship via buddypress, it went to not-delivered emails.
Error message:
said: 554
Message not allowed – Headers are not RFC compliant[291] (in reply to end
of DATA command)
I can see that the email where to send it is doubled.
However, if I enabled just directly sendinblue plugin, it went through without any issues.
Can you check it please?

Hi,
I have an error showing in plugin dashboard saying :

Problem : Subject is required
I think it happened when someone tried to retrieve his password (I use S2member). But when I send an email test, the message disappears.
Can you explain me what does that mean ?

Dear Support,
I have install WP SMTP on wordpress 5.4 and try to connect it to mdeamon mail server.
I have recived error durring test email.
Errror says that could connect to smtp server but cooul not authenticate with the mentioned email abd password. I sure that username an password is correct.
Interestingly, it sometimes works without any changes. For example, with 10 attempts, it works correctly once and gives the above error 9 more times.
Would you please help me?

After upgrading our site to WP 5.4 the other day, I attempted to update the wp-mail-smtp plugin from version 1.4.2 to the current 1.9.0, using the ‘automatic’ WordPress plugin upgrade process.
Wordpress told me it caught an error with the plugin, providing this information:

Sir, i have installed wp stmp plugin on my local host system when i click on test mail button its show error that Phpmailer was able to connect server but failed while trying to send email. Kindly help

This is not so much as a ticket as it is something that I ran into.
I use PHP 7.4 for all installations of wordpress and I recently needed to use this plugin for the gmail integration. After successfully setting everything up, the plugin would not allow for email to be sent via gmail.
After about 4 hours I FINALLY said, let me change PHP 7.4 to 7.3. After doing that, everything worked.
Not sure if this should be the official fix or if the integration should work with PHP 7.4…but I can say my website is able to send emails via gmail now.

Hi,
sending emails with Caldera Forms doesn’t work. Apparently username/password cannot be provided, although they are stored in settings correctly. Sending a test email via WP Mail SMTP does work, so the settings are correct. But for some reason, they aren’t being passed when sending from Caldera Forms.

when newsletter and forms sending mail, they send them but it gives me the error:

I have installed and uninstalled all and the error continues.

I use the pluggin SMPT and i have do all the steps and when i try to send a test email, it apperas a messange error:
Could not authenticate your SMTP account.
This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.
Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.
Recommended next steps:
Triple check your SMTP settings including host address, email, and password. If you have recently reset your password you will need to update the settings.
Contact your SMTP host to confirm you are using the correct username and password.
Verify with your SMTP host that your account has permissions to send emails using outside connections.

I can’t get the API method to work with Pepipost, by selecting pepipost in the WP Mail SMTP settings. I get ‘invalid domain’. It all works if I use the generic SMTP settings in WP MAIL SMTP. Forced from email checkbox is ON in WP MAIL SMTP.
I have set up the domain ws.xxxxxxxx.com in pepipost, and the site is at xxxxxxx.com
The API key is correct, I get a different error when using the wrong key.
I am pretty sure its a problem with the pepipost code in the WP Mail SMTP plugin. We are developers, I write lots of PHP, etc.
Others have posted recently – this is a new problem.
