optimized-marketing.com on "[Plugin: WP Mail SMTP] Is SMPT Login Information Encrypted?"

I am testing out this plugin and from the looks of it the SMTP auth information doesn't seem to be encrypted. Is this true, the login information is stored in plain text in the DB?

Do you know of any SMTP plugins that have this information encrypted?

Also why doesn't this plugin use the predefined email server database fields in wp_options? (ex. mailserver_url, mailserver_pass, mailserver_login,etc....) Might be duplicate DB entries that are not needed.
