Error due to unsolicited and/or bulk e-mail.
This means the connection to your SMTP host was made successfully, but the host rejected the email.
Typically this error is returned when you are sending too many e-mails or e-mails that have been identified as spam.
Recommended next steps:
Check the emails that are sending are sending individually. Example: email is not sending to 30 recipients. You can install any WordPress e-mail logging plugin to do that.
Contact your SMTP host to ask about sending/rate limits.
Verify with them your SMTP account is in good standing and your account has not been flagged.

Change From Address

Hi Guys,
We recently refactored our website from jellyit.co.za to jellydrop.co.za
This caused an issue with your plugin as it was previously using GMail as the mailer with the client ID and Secret from the GSuite account for “support@jellyit.co.za”.
After rebranding our site we then changed the client id and secret to our new domains API details for “support@jellydrop.co.za”.
The problem is that in your plugin, the “From Email” field is still set on “support@jellyit.co.za” which it should not be. It cannot be changed since it is greyed out.
We have double checked and the connection that is setup for it to use is definitely Google as Mailer usine all the API details from support@jellydrop.co.za
Any idea why it is still forcing the old from email address?

Can you please give me some more details regarding this error? It is an existing e-mailaddress, So I do not understand this.

WordPress 5.5 Deprecates functionality

FYI, although it is not out yet, WordPress 5.5 will deprecate functionality that this plugin relies on. Ran into this while I was doing some testing work with this plugin on WordPress 5.5, with WP_DEBUG enabled.
Here is the content of the warning:
Deprecated: class-phpmailer.php is <strong>deprecated</strong> since version 5.5.0! Use wp-includes/PHPMailer/PHPMailer.php instead. PHP Error when trying to send email

We are experiencing this error:

We are using the last (2.1.1) version of your plugin.
I tried recreating the credentials on Google Developer Platform and set them up in the plugin settings, but the issue remains. The settings page shows this at the bottom (authorization)

Some days ago, all working fine, but now it’s not sent any email when post puplished. Sent test email still working fine but not recieved any mails on blogger(when post puplished). Unable to send test mail using Yahoo smtp

encryption: SSL
SMTP porrt: 465
auto TLS: on
Authentication: on
SMTP username: (complete yahoo mail address)
smtp password: (password got after enabling less secure apps)
The error i am getting is: error

Critical error with another plugin

Hi
I have setup the plugin for gmail smtp with app etc
However, I got a 400 error when trying to authenticate so I turned off all plugins and then I was able to atunticate – However when turning back on my main plugin for jobs on the site – I got this message

Multiple email addresses

Hello, I need to configure my email addresses with WP STMP in order for the contact forms to work correctly. Now, I can only set up one email (e.g info@***.com), but I would like to have different emails, such as shop@***.com and careers@***.com on the website, but I can only configure one. Is it possible to configure WP SMTP for different email accounts? If not, what are my alternatives?

Same emails are send multiple times

I use Gravity forms for our reservation-form. The issue is that the notification-emails are send twice or three times. Sometimes with a time lap of two or more days. GF did not respons in a helpful way, so i hope you can give me information to solve this problem. With regards, Albert

I’ve seen a 2 year old post describing the error message below. I am receiving the exact same error message now.

There was a problem while retrieving Auth for gmail: Could not json decode the token
Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it.
I’ve cleared the cache but the error message is still there. I’ve tested my contact form and it successfully sent an email. So is the error message just an irritant rather than an indication of a problem? I can’t afford to be in doubt as any failed emails could mean a loss of business. Anyone able to help?

first things first: Thanks alot for your wonderful plugin. Helps alot getting SMTP done right 🙂
Back to business: We noticed that you introduced the Action Scheduler library with your latest minor release. This made us ask ourselves, if you might be working on a mailing queue functionality for WP Mail SMTP ;-).
Just asking because we are literaly right now considering moving to another smtp plugin which would offer queueing instead of direct sending. And it’s just this one functionality missing…
If we could save the migration efford and stay with your bullet proof working plugin, I wouldn’t say no ;-).
Would be happy about some feedback!

Hello
I have had to change the email address with this plugin because it was wrong.
I have uninstalled it and installed again with the correct email.
I have generated the gmail API and the client secret key. When I pressed “Allow the plugin to send emails using your Google account” I get the error message “Error 400: redirect_uri_mismatch. The redirect URI in the request, https://saboreandosingluten.es/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-mail-smtp&tab=auth, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client. To update the authorized redirect URIs, visit: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials/oauthclient/92461284544-j4l5v57krcvl42pva2kiq4qnjmlm1b1d.apps.googleusercontent.com
I check the dates and I copied and pasted ok, so I don’t know how I can fix it. I’ve read other toppics but I couldn’t find the correct answer to me case.
