EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR

My SMTP email has been working great for almost a year and all of the sudden I’m confronted with this.

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.2.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

I kept trying to authenticate via my gmail console but kept getting the same error. I decided the best way to solve the issue was to deactivate the SMTP plugin and remove my project and credentials and start all over. I re-downloaded the plugin and all my information was still there. The plugin won’t even allow me enter a new email address in the “From Email” box. I tried to ignored the grayed out email section just assuming it is the correct email. Once I create a new project in the console and tried to authenticate all the fill boxes are total different than before. I’m not able to follow any of the youtubes videos that show you how to configured the SMTP into gmail console. I tried an email test as well and that doesn’t work either. It says — You cannot send an email. Mailer is not properly configured. Please check your settings. If there is some way to completely delete my old information on my plug it and start fresh I could fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated

Getting the below error on test email (smitha@hylo.biz)-

There was a problem while sending the test email.

Could not authenticate your SMTP account.

This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.

Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.
Recommended next steps:

Triple check your SMTP settings including host address, email, and password. If you have recently reset your password you will need to update the settings.
Contact your SMTP host to confirm you are using the correct username and password.
Verify with your SMTP host that your account has permissions to send emails using outside connections.

Please can you let me know how to proceed with this issue

Does not exists recipient error

I get an error every time a user with a non-existent mail is registered on the site. This is usually spam. Every time I have to go into the settings, save them and send a test letter. It is not right. This behavior should be able to be disabled

SendGrid to sunset Web API access via port 80

I successfully run WP Mail SMTP with Sendgrid since a couple month. These days Sendgrid contacted me via email to let me know that they are sunsetting API access via port 80. Furthermore they are writing that I used this port up until know and that I should change to HTTPS Port 443 by October 1st.

As I’m having a standard Sendgrid integration with WP Mail SMT, I’m wondering if this is something that I can solve or it requires the plugin to be updated by you, to avoid interruptions in email delivery.

Test email is successful but Contact Us messages never received

Hello,
I have installed WPForms and have set up a Contact Us template and saved. I also installed WP Mail SMTP Plugin. I did the “Test send of email” from the admin email address and received it. However, when I go to the website and fill in the Contact Us form to send email to the website (admin email address) it is never received.
HELP.

CF7 Mails not working

We are using this plugin & we are using sendgrid service. We are having issue with contact form 7 mailing. Our all Emails are working but only Contact Form 7 emails are not working.

Can you tell us what is the issue? We need urgent help with this.

Every Email Blocked as Spam

every single automatic woocommerce email that is sent is not getting received. I am using sitegrounds servers as my mailer. I can send emails through woocommerce to any email address hosted on sitegrounds servers with no problem. i guess because it doesn’t leave their servers. any email that is sent to an external email address, for example me@gmail.com it bounces. Saying the emails contain spam. so the are attempting to be delivered but marked as spam. These are normal ‘thank you for your order’ notifications from woocommerce, out of the box. I set up google as the mailer and get same result. Why would every single, out of the box, woocommerce email be marked as spam?

In Smtp wp mail plugin I am using amazon SES mail. I am using proper settings. I have received mail also but I am not receiving mail attachment. this attachment is basically a pdf. why attachment is not received with mail, is there any settings to add for attachment received.

Hello,

can I hide the origin aka “received-header”?
Would be very useful as im using cloudflare in combination with gsuite smtp service and there is an IP leak over the emails right now.

Can’t Disable WP Mail SMTP

If i click on “Disable”, this message appears:

TypeError thrown
Argument 1 passed to WR_Email_Handler::configure_phpmailer() must be an instance of PHPMailer, instance of WPMailSMTP\MailCatcherV6 given, called in /srv/www/…/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 287

Can’t do anything inside wp-admin because of this error.
Hope anyone got some hints for me.

My site crash when i reply to a ticket on the Awesome support plugin which send out an email through your plugin, as soon as i disable WP MAIL SMTP pro it works fine.

Could not authenticate – Zoho Mail

Hi, I’m trying to setup SMTP for my email hello@1treecards.com which is hosted through Zoho Mail but I keep getting this error when I do a test email:

“Could not authenticate your SMTP account.
This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.”

I’ve triple checked that the username and password are correct and have followed instructions on the plugin and the zoho instructions (https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/zoho-smtp.html).

Can anyone offer any advice? I use cloudflare cdn if that makes any difference? Thanks 🙂

Less secure app blocked

Hello- we use google suits and it has been blocking our access saying the connection is coming from a Less secure app. Can you help us resolve this as our email SMTP cannot be verified since its blocked.

Setting up WP Mail ‘from email’ question..

Hi,

Hope someone can assist here. I’ve got a Woocommerce site built on Siteground, but we use gmail for our email provider. Occassionaly mail doesn’t get to where it needs to go. I have the ‘WP Mail Logging’ plugin installed. and I see now and again an automatic mail isn’t sent from Woocommerce to our orders email. or from Woocommerce to the customer verifying an order placement. It seems that the ‘from’ email in this case sometimes changes based on looking at the email that was supposed to be sent but got blocked with the message ‘Could not instantiate mail function.’

So when I set this plugin up and select “Gmail” as the mailer, what should I set for the return email? my personal WordPress admin email? or our orders email? Wouldn’t it depend on if it was an email sent by a person or an automated email from Woocommerce?

WordPress 5.5 compatibility issue

WordPress 5.5 has changed and upgraded its PHPMailer class to a later release, see the release notes:

Version 5.5

The PHPMailer library just got a major update, going from version 5.2.27 to 6.1.6.

This change is causing 504 timeout errors when trying to send an email using your plugin. At the moment 5.5 is not compatible with your plugin.

Here is PHPMailer’s version 6.1.7 stable repo fyi:

Test Email Functionality Broken (Critical Error After WP 5.5)

Hi there!

After updating to WP 5.5, we can no longer use your plugin’s test email functionality. It’s broken.

Brought up this issue with WP (click here for details).

It appears WP 5.5 will now require affected plugin developers to update their plugins to fix this issue.

No more e-mail notifications

Hello,
I saw there are some problems with the last version of wordpress so I didn”t yet upgrade wordpress (I will wait you to update the plugin). But I have an other issue.

I use wp mail smtp for a while and I had to check the option “force expedition’s email” (to ignore the plugins’ values) because no emails were sent with bookly plugin.
Since I did that, I no longer receive notification’s emails from some security plugins. I spoke with the support of thoose plugins and verified in the backoffice, there is no problem of sending. For one of those plugins, I still receive some notifications emails but not all I should receive. For the other plugin, I don’t receive any emails anymore (while the plugin send the mails if I verify in the back office).
What can I do ?
