Hi all,
Everything works fine. I am only having issues with From Name. I’ve chosen Other SMTP option and setup for smtp.office365.com details with an authentication turned on. However, when sending out emails, from name is not being taken what I wrote, it shows the email account name. Why it is working in this way please? I really want to have this work as it is described in your plugin please? Any ideas?

When you get a chance, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to how to sort out the following error message I’m receiving when trying to reactivate the plugin – see here:

Bit of a strange one, as all was well with the site, with no issues – then I got an email in saying the plugin was causing issues with this particular site. All seems to be working on my other sites that use the add on as far as I can tell.

Using Gravity Forms [Contacted them and they’ve checked the logs and said it’s something with the SMTP setting], Checked the settings, it’s other SMTP with office365 settings.
It takes 15 seconds to get a successful submission message.
Can you direct me where to start, please?

Please forgive my ignorance, I am new to WordPress. My son hosts my WP websites and set up my SMTP, but is unavailable and I am having a problem. We just set up this site, and original tests sending and receiving emails worked fine. Then, client decided to change his email address to @cox.net instead of his domain address, and it hasn’t worked since. My son warned him that this could cause problems, but I don’t know why. So, I went in to make the changes, but must not have done something right when changing the settings, because the error message says it cannot authenticate my account. Client is not getting Order emails and Contact Me form emails are not sending. I would be most grateful for your help! Thank you.

where as second function can not send single time mail !
I’m using the sendgrid option in plugin
I have not any other plugin related to mail (or core WordPress email) in my site
Both function are in single line, not in any loop/cron
Any help?

Hello,
I’ve set up the plugin and the SMTP details, and I receive emails using the Email Test page.
Then, when I fill the contact form on my website (right at the bottom) I don’t receive any emails.
Do you have an idea of how come this happen? Any help would be very appreciated!!

Hi,
Is this plugin compatible with TLS1.2? I’m using it with an office365 account (and I set TLS in the options), but I’m receiving some automatic messages alerting me the client is using TLS1.0/1.1.
Is something you are aware of?

Hi plug-in creators, thank you for making this plug-in. I have my site (didgeproject.com) sending email through my gmail account (didgeproject@gmail.com) using the alias “info@didgeproject.com”. When the email arrives to any gmail users inbox, there is a question mark next to the sender name and a message saying “gmail cannot verify that this email was sent from didgeproject.com”. Can you please help me to get rid of this message?

This topic was posted over a year and marked resolved, but resolution does not help me. I am having this same issue and my server hosting has no clue how to fix. They are asking me how to recreate the problem. Since I do not know what the plugin is doing to create the problem, I have no response for them.

Hi there,
I’d like to use the SMTP-plugin. Do i understand correct that i can use several e-mailadresses by:
– adding an e-mailaddres (ex. a no-repy@domain.com, in the settings of the SMTP-plugin to set it up properly;
– then choose different e-mailaddresses in ex. the contact-forms (for support, or info, etc)

I use plugin and after the last update, when I send an email to a gmail, the receiver doesn’t get it. Even if it is the test email. When I send an email to hotmail then it works fine.

I’m getting this error after activating the plugin:
“The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
I deactivated all other plugins and switched from Enfold to a default WP theme (Twenty Seventeen), but still get this error. Also, I cannot change the admin email address. When I do, I get the same error, but I’m able to get back into wp-admin. There it says that an email has been sent, but nothing seems to be sent so I cannot check for what other information WP has about the problem.
I also switched from PHP 7.3 to 7.2 to see if that makes a difference, but it didn’t.

I have 2 contact forms on my WordPress website, and neither of them send an email to my Outlook account when a message is submitted. I have the WP Mail SMTP v1.5.2 plug in installed.
I get this error message:
EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.5.2 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
Mailer: Default (none)
PHPMailer was able to connect to SMTP server but failed while trying to send an email.
Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it.
I host my site on AWS and the SMTP port 25 is open, so I’m not sure what the issue is. Thank you in advance!

Hello there,
I have read through the instructions for WordPress not sending emails (fast enough), on this page on WPBeginner – https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-not-sending-email-issue/
I am confused about the remit of Mailgun. Does it send all the mail from the server – so for all @playimports.com.au email addresses or just the WP emails?
Likewise with Gmail. Does it manage all the emails from this domain?
