Fatal Errors after installation

I installed this plugin on a site I’m building for work because we were having problems with emails sending & receiving from WP.

Shortly after activating the plugin, it logged me out of my admin panel & popped up this message: “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

When I pull the debug log, it has the following errors:
[autoindex:error]….. : Cannot serve directory…..
[core:error]…..: Invalid URI in request
[ssl:error]……: rejecting client initiated renegotiation
[php7:error]….. PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Elementor\\Core\\Editor\\Notice_Bar’ not found in /var/www/wp-ica/wp-content/plu$……

Feature request: DKIM signing

DKIM is an important method to protect your domain by making it harder for spammers/phishers to use your domain as the ‘From field’.

By combining DKIM and SPF with DMARC, domain owners can eliminate almost all spam email sent in their behalf.

If WP Mail SMTP had optional support for this, users of this plugin would only have to paste one DNS TXT record to their domain generated by the plugin. It would be really easy.

Are you planning on adding this feature? If yes, when? If no, what would be the challenges in adding DKIM support?

Can’t send emails from localhost with OAuth

Hi,

I have a local wordpress installation (localhost). I’d like to send emails from this local installation. So I have installed your plugin, which now requires to create Client ID and Client Secret via Google OAuth. However, I am unable to create such credentials because GOogle API does not accept “localhost” as domain name. What can I do? Which type of Google credentials should I request when I am prompted to Google OAuth?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello,

I setup the WP MAIl SMTP as follow; we have Office 365 email.

SMTP Host: smtp.office365.com
Encryption: TLS

With authentication with the email info@nbsdac.com

I have to two contact forms under the pages CONTACT US AND PRAYER REQUEST. When I submit a form as a user, I get the emails just fine in my inbox but the admin email (info@nbsdac.com) is not receiving the notifications. Pretty bizarre!

When I send a regular email to that email, I get it. I have no clue what’s going on.

Can someone tell me what causes the following issue, and how to fix it if you’re not a programmer?

It indicates that I am supposed to review my WP Mail SMTP settings, but I have no idea what to check for – everything was done per the instructions, and I wouldn’t be able to tell if something is “wrong” based on the code provided.

Hints and help appreciated. 🙂

Control to Dismiss “Email Delivery Error” Notice

$

There needs to be a control to dismiss the error message in situations where it gets generated but mail transport is never going to succeed normally, such as test environments. It’s fine that it toggles until the next successful mail send in production environments, but there are cases where we need to dismiss it manually.

There is presently no control to do so. Nor can I find any side door procedure to do so. I have the notice in my face on every single page of wp-admin with no way to get rid of it.

Please add a control in admin to manually dismiss the notice. Even better please post here or directly message me a procedure to dismiss it manually from the database backend so I don’t have to be pestered by it in my development environment.

Thanks

Multisite not sending emails

My website is not sending mails recently. I installed the Newsletter plugin and send over 3000 mails to subscribers. i believe the issue started after that. I have uninstalled the plugin but when i test mail with Wp Mail SMTP, i get the error message;

There was a problem while sending the test email.

Error due to unsolicited and/or bulk e-mail.

This means the connection to your SMTP host was made successfully, but the host rejected the email.

Typically this error is returned when you are sending too many e-mails or e-mails that have been identified as spam.

Can you help me fix this please?

No notifications from gravity forms are delivered when WP mail SMTP is active

HI! I just started having problems with notifications not being sent. This worked for a couple of weeks but all of a sudden the notifications stopped working. I am using the WP mail SMTP plugin and I’ve tested that it works in every way on its own. Everything is being sent using WP mail SMTP but not gravity forms notifications. If I deactivate wp mail SMTP the regular phpmail function kicks in and starts working. So this is a weird one. Everything seems to be fine on their own but together they simply doesn’t work. Any ideas?

Email not sending when adding a comment to my blg

Hi,

I have created a new blog site and the problem is that when you post a comment in any of my blogs it gets shown on the page and i do not receive any email notification.

The only way for me to check if someobody has posted a comment is for me to login to wordpress and go to the dashboard and go to the comments section to either approve or reject the comment.

I have setup the WP Mail plugin in the hope of fixing this but after doing a test comment, the comment is shown on the page but i still don’t receive any notification by email that somebody has posted. On my worpdress > Discussion > “Email me whenever:Anyone posts a comment ” is checked but i don’t know why i don’t receive an email notification.
Could somebody suggest any ideas?

Hello,

I installed your plugin and configured Office 365 but I get an error when testing sending a email https://prnt.sc/opmgct

All Office 365 details seem ok. I’m using:

Username: ofice365 account email
Password: ofice365 account password
Host: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encrypt: TLS (client tells me it’s STARTTLS – can I use TLS?)

And I’ve checked with web host already – they tell me 587 port is open for in and out with TLS and there’s no firewall blocking the connection.

Can you help? Its urgent.
If needed I can provide website access details.

Thanks

Is there any way to integrate WP Mail SMTP and Blink email templates? If so it’ll helpful for the users to design and build emails faster. Let me know.

Hi,

I am using WP Mail SMTP and configured it to send emails to my gmail account using the “Other SMTP” mailer option.

Originally everything was working fine and emails were successfully sent, however I recently noticed that the emails are not sent anymore.

When trying to send a test email from the WP Mail SMTP admin screen, I get the following error log:

Mailgun API (Forbidden)

I’ve connected WP Mail SMTP correctly on most all my sites. Lately, however, I’ve had several sites fail to properly connect to Mailgun via API. I encounter the following:

Versions:
WordPress: 5.2.2
WordPress MS: No
PHP: 7.3.4
WP Mail SMTP: 1.5.2

Params:
Mailer: mailgun
Constants: No
Api Key / Domain: Yes

Debug:
Mailer: Mailgun
Forbidden

I can add the observation that all of the sites encountering this are ones that I have migrated to new servers (though, in the same Digital Ocean environment). I expect either something is improperly configured on my server, or the Mailgun API has somehow cached the old IPs connected with my domain and are not properly communicating. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

‘From Name’ and ‘From Email’ do not match my settings

Hello. I have your plugin installed and activated on both my live site (https://feedxl.com/) and my dev site (https://wordpress-dev.feedxl.com/). For my ‘Mailer’ I have specified Gmail. On my dev site, when I send a test message, the test email is delivered expected recipient email account. But the ‘From Name’ and ‘From Email’ are not what I have set in Settings–>WP Mail SMTP–>Settings–>Mail. Here are screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/7ZtJ0tz How can I troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

To be clear, I am not trying to override any of the Gmail settings in terms of ‘From Name’ and ‘From Email.’ My issue is that your plugin settings indicate that the ‘From Name’ and ‘From Email’ will be certain values. But in the actual email that is sent, those values are different.

There are no errors in the PHP error log.

I should note that my live site does not suffer from this issue–only my dev site.

Thanks.

When I add the two lines recommended in WP Mail SMTP settings to wp-config.php to mask the SMTP username password, emails fail to go through.

But when I remove those lines all is OK. So, from both a security and functionality standpoint, any suggestions?

Hi guys, thanks in advance for any ideas to make this work.

I have this site with emails in one IP – completely different from the site’s IP address. They are in different servers.

How I configure this with Other SMTP option? The normal one?
