…whenever I try to activate it. Here’s what happened:
I’ve just finished redesigning a client’s website and we launched it last week. However, the email delivery wasn’t working so we installed the Post SMTP plugin. We couldn’t get it to work with her Office 365 setup, so she started a Gmail account for the website. I found another email delivery helper plugin that was working with minimal settings on another client’s website, so I installed that and was able to get the delivery working with little effort 9Yay! thank you for that). However, when I deactivate the other one in order to delete it, it apparently removes three database tables the site needs, so it goes down with a critical site error. Debug shows that the database tables xxxactionscheduler_claims, xxx_actionscheduler_groups, and xxx–actionscheduler_logs are missing when this happens, so I reactivated the old/other plugin. However, now I cannot activate yours, which was working to help the email delivery, without the site crashing for the same reason. As long as BOTH plugins are deactivated, everything is fine. When I activate the other one, it’s fine but email is not delivered from the contact form. But whether or not that one is activated, activating yours crashes the site as the database tables it needs are no longer there. We really need to get this working ASAP for her business!! Please help…here are the errors shown when I turn on debug in wp-config. And for clarity, WooCommerce isn’t and has never been installed on this site. I’ve removed the first part of the urls and tables mentioned and replaced them with xxx to help protect her site’s security. The one thing I have not tried is deleting both plugins and then reinstalling yours. I’m so afraid that the missing database tables will take the site down without any remedy that I can’t bring myself to do it.:

I am using a WordPress plugin called LearnDash that allows the tutor to send emails to students. I do not want the student to be able to see the instructor’s email address.
I have set up WP mail and it is working but the reply-to: address is visibly the instructor’s WordPress login email address.
I have set the from to read yourinstructor<no-reply@mydomain.com>
but I cannot change the reply-to: address.
Help please?

I am trying to set up my WordPress site to use WP Mail SMTP using the Gmail API.
I am using WordPress 5.5.1, WP Mail SMTP Version 2.3.1
I have previously set this up successfully on another website that I manage. The current website and the other website share many characteristics, including the same theme, and many of the same plugins.
However, on the current website, after I’ve followed your instructions on how to set up the Gmail API (it’s an exceptionally arcane interface — not your fault!), and I think I got everything set up correctly, pasted in the Client ID, Client Secret into the WP Mail SMTP setup page, and copied the Authorized redirect URI from that page to the Gmail API. Then, I’m supposed to click on the orange “Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account” button. I did that, and followed your directions again, but in the final step, after I’ve chosen the proper Google account, and it says that that account “wants to access your Google Account”, so I clicked on the “Allow” button. After a short delay, all I get is a page that says:
Unauthorized
Back
That’s it. No hint about what the error might be. I can’t confirm authorization, so I can’t send emails through this.
I’m pulling my hair out. It’s probably something I’ve not set up correctly in the Gmail API, but that is so arcane, I can’t figure out what I might have done wrong.
Your help in solving this would be much appreciated!

Hello,
Is anyone use SMTP at Dream Host?
I have open discussion here but no success: https://discussion.dreamhost.com/t/dreamhost-smtp-for-wordpress/78106/4
Thank you!

I’ve used your plugin many times in the past and love it and haven’t encountered this problem before!
In the main configuration screen, I’ve entered some info that I wish to change – and I just can’t change it! I put the changed info into the field(s) and click on the save button and get the “Settings successfully saved” notice at the top of the page. But they aren’t really saved and, when I go to leave the page, I get the browser warning me that some input data hasn’t been saved yet!
I’ve tried:
– uninstalling and reinstalling your plugin
– deactivating every other plugin
– cleaning the database after uninstalling your plugin and before reinstalling
– using a different browser
and I continually end up in the same place.
Some help here would be greatly appreciated.

I had to uninstall WP Mail SMTP by deleting files from CPanel because it crashed my website. I coulkd not recover access to Admin before deleting files.
For now, while this is solved, I had to install another plugin and it is working fine

Installed but it didn’t seem to be compatible with MD5-CRAM. Wen’t to uninstall and it would hang on removing with PHP fatal errors. I just manually deleted the plugin, just wondering what was going on…

Hi,
I have an error on all pages when WP SMTP Mail is active. All software is up to date. How can we fix it? Here’s a quick view http://recordit.co/W3kaxov9Ee

Dear support team,
I am experiencing an issue with your SMTP plugin. I’ve set up WPForms with WP Mail SMTP Pro using Microsoft Outlook (Exchange). Most of the time, it works. However, after approx. 24 to 48 hours, it shows the following error message:
– – – – – – – – – –
EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.3.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
Mailer: Outlook
InvalidAuthenticationToken: Access token has expired.
Date: 2020-09-11T19:39:15
Consider running an email test after fixing it.
– – – – – – – – – –
As soon as the warning pops up in the WordPress dashboard, no emails will be delivered anymore. The strange thing is: without changing any settings, I only have to send a test message and from that time on, messages continue being delivered.
What could that be?

We just had a problem with a client site where the Pro version of WP Mail SMTP hadn’t updated automatically (as all our other plugins are set to). Because the latest version included WP 5.5 compatibility, when our hosts rolled out 5.5, some email functionality caused fatal errors on the site.
Is there any reason the Pro version might not update automatically? We have non-Pro versions of WP Mail SMTP on our other sites, which updated OK.
Checking the settings page, the license key appeared to be entered OK. However, there’s an orange ‘Verify key’ button next to it. Pressing it gives me the message ‘You are now receiving automatic updates’. However, refreshing the page, the Verify button is still there, so it’s not clear how this works, or how it’s signaling the state of verification.

I have been experimenting issues with the sending emails (like a lot of people, I can see for the forum). In my case the problem is with Toolset email notifications.
It worked fine until latests updates of WP and your plugin.
Please, help with this.
It’s pretty urgent.

Since upgrade to PHP 7.4 I do see the following warning in the error log:
PHP Deprecated: Invalid characters passed for attempted conversion, these have been ignored in …wp-mail-smtp/src/Providers/Mailgun/Mailer.php on line 270
That line contains :
$boundary = base_convert( uniqid( ‘boundary’, true ), 10, 36 );
and PHP will warn because of the text ‘boundary’ as base_convert assumes a numeric argument.
if changed to
$boundary = base_convert( uniqid( ”, true ), 10, 36 );
the warning will no longer occur.

I logged into my dashboard today and noticed an error was bring reported in your plugin:
Mailer: Other SMTP
SMTP Error: data not accepted.
I did a test email and then went through with no errors. I have another plugin (WP Mail Logging) so I examined that log. I saw one entry with a alert icon on the right. When I hovered over that icon it said “SMTP Error: data not accepted.”.
The actual item was a “comment” on one of my pages. It was in moderation and needed to be approved. So I “approved” it and then it showed. You can see the comment.
What I don’t understand is why I had that warning in the first place. Do you know why?
