I have a plugin that sends mail from the WordPress admin and the front end.
With WP Mail SMTP installed and configured for SendGrid, mail is sent via SendGrid on the front end, but when admin mail is sent via wp_mail() SendGrid is bypassed. I have verified this by checking SendGrid activity log.
The admin messages are triggered via an action when my admin page is loaded:
add_action( 'plugins_loaded', 'sendMessages' );
I can’t figure out why WP Mail SMTP is not intercepting the admin mail. Any help appreciated?

Looks like both of the plugins “WP Mail” and “WP PGP Encrypted Emails” are using wp_mail() hook…
This leds to omitted cipherblocks being sent via preferred method chosen in WPMail.
Would be nice to test plugins interaction to get both of them working flawlessly.

Could not authenticate your SMTP account.
This means we were able to connect to your SMTP host, but were not able to proceed using the email/password in the settings.
Typically this error is returned when the email or password is not correct or is not what the SMTP host is expecting.
Recommended next steps:
Triple check your SMTP settings including host address, email, and password. If you have recently reset your password you will need to update the settings.
Contact your SMTP host to confirm you are using the correct username and password.
Verify with your SMTP host that your account has permissions to send emails using outside connections.

Hello,
The plugin works great! I’m wondering if it’s possible to change the default email message so that it doesn’t include the site admin email? I have a specific email account for password and have configure it using the plugin, however, it still uses the admin email instead of the one I added to be sent from. Without using third party services is it possible to change the default email message it send when a member request a password change on the site?
Thanks,

Hi,
I installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and I can successfully send a test email.
However, from the WP e-Store plugin from tips and tricks, it still goes through the PHP mailer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
I found that this plugin is conflicting with check out when choosing Direct Bank Transfer. The order is made and shows under the Order page in admin, but once ‘Place Order’ button is clicked it is not directed to the Confirmation Page with Bank details neither is the customer emailed.
Could you help me out figuring out why is this happening?
Thanks

Hello,
Great plugin, it was very easy to set up. I am using Mailgun as my SMTP provider and messages are being delivered a-ok.
I am trying to get the spam score to be as low as possible. According to the tool at mail-tester.com, I could shave an additional -1.105 points off my spam score if I provide a text version, because right now my messages are only sending text/html MIME parts.
Does the plugin automatically convert an html email to plain text and provide that version to ESPs when sending? Or do I need to provide my own plain text version when invoking the wp_mail function? If so, how do I do that in a way that your plugin expects? For example, do I include a “text:” parameter in my header array or something?
Please advise when you can, and sorry if this has already been answered. I could not get a definitive answer by reading the previous posts. Thanks for doing a great job on this plugin.

Hello,
I installed WP Forms and WP Mail STMP about two weeks ago and for a while, everything was working perfectly. A few days ago, I logged into my WP dashboard and saw the following error:
EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.4.2 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

PHPMailer was able to connect to SMTP server but failed while trying to send an email.
I contacted my host to make sure I had all STMP settings correct. All was well. They checked the port and even checked the site IP address to make sure nothing was blocked. No issue on their end could be found, so I’m hoping maybe someone could help me here? This is the error log:

WP Mail SMTP 1.4.2, WordPress 5.1.1, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on AWS EC2. Mail server is Postfix SMTP / Dovecot IMAP on another Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on EC2 (separate instance.) Mail is working fine otherwise. I’m receiving mail from clients and vendors fine. I’m able to send mail from all my various mail clients and plug-in’s fine.
SMTP port is 143 with STARTTLS (Or straight TLS.)
The only thing I see in my mail logs when I test a connection from WP Mail SMTP is a connection from:
a27-154.smtp-out.us-west-2.amazonses.com[54.240.27.154]
This is not related to any other mail traffic that I can see, and it only hits the logs when I try to send a Test Mail from WP Mail SMTP.
This *was* working fine. I did not change anything on my mail server, and like I said everything else relating to email is working fine.
I did install WordFence Security for WordPress, but I disabled it to make sure it was not causing this issue. I don’t know what other logs to look at.
In my Apache2 error.log:
[Thu Apr 11 15:43:13.806003 2019] [php7:error] [pid 1671] [client 72.209.60.218:48575] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘WPMailSMTP\\Debug’ not found in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Providers/Loader.php:182\nStack trace:\n#0 /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Providers/Loader.php(133): WPMailSMTP\\Providers\\Loader->get_entity(‘smtp’, ‘Mailer’)\n#1 /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Admin/Pages/Test.php(464): WPMailSMTP\\Providers\\Loader->get_mailer(‘smtp’, Object(WPMailSMTP\\MailCatcher))\n#2 /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Admin/Pages/Test.php(189): WPMailSMTP\\Admin\\Pages\\Test->get_debug_messages(Object(WPMailSMTP\\MailCatcher), ‘2019-04-11 15:4…’)\n#3 /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Admin/Area.php(403): WPMailSMTP\\Admin\\Pages\\Test->process_post(Array)\n#4 /var/www/html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): WPMailSMTP\\Admin\\Area->process_actions(”)\n#5 /var/www/html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array)\n#6 /var/www/html/wp-includes/plugin.php(465): WP_Hook->do_action(Array)\n#7 /var/www/html/wp-ad in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/src/Providers/Loader.php on line 182, referer: https://www.rogerprata.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-mail-smtp&tab=test
I have no idea what the hell any of that means, or if it has anything to do with this issue.
I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

Hello!
I’m trying to set up a custom-coded HTML form within WordPress. I got it working correctly on a test server, but then when I integrated it into WordPress and got it functioning, I couldn’t get the email to work. I switched it to the wp_mail function and that didn’t work, either. I remembered we’d had issues sending emails from the site before and had installed WP Mail SMTP, sending via Gmail. I tried changing the headers to use the Gmail address and even tried removing the headers, but the emails won’t go through.
Is there some way I can send via WP Mail SMTP’s settings from my custom PHP file? Is there something special I need to do?
Thank you so much!!!

Hello,
I was having troubles with my WordPress emails ending up in my Gmail Spam folder. I did some research and the resolution seemed to be the WP Mail SMTP plug-in. I installed the plug-in, followed the instructions to the T… and then received NO emails period. I tried several times and finally gave up and uninstalled WP Mail SMTP. (I also deactivated the Gmail API.)
I am still not receiving email. Period. No in my inbox. Not in my spam. Apparently, I uninstalled the plug-in wrong (I deactivated it and then deleted it without clearing the data first; apparently, this is an extra step). I found an old thread (which is closed), which directed me to clear the plug-in from my host database, but nothing is in my database.
So why am I not receiving my WordPress emails??

Had a multisites, previously setup wp-mail-smtp successfully for 3 sites.
But while trying to add another 2 sites recently, got “error while processing the authentication request.” Meanwhile, no way to send a test email since the “Send Email” button is blocked.
Had verified the Google API credentials, all Authorized JavaScript origins and Authorized redirect URI are same as previous 3 sites.
Any suggestion where to look into, highly appreciate
